BYLD Digital

The BYLD Digital Literacy program is an internship program for Black youth which provides leadership development, digital literacy skills and opportunities for personal growth and employment. The program allows Black youth to collaborate and participate in an archival project where they will research Black music history and assist in digitizing archival content while gaining valuable work experience. The online archive will be created by Black youth trained over two separate 4-month internship periods with enhanced digital literacy tools. Educational workshops and expert presenters will inform, educate, and empower the interns to help level the playing field and reduce the digital divide that exists among Canadian Black youth online and in the wider community.
